The gate of Kaptai Dam will be opened, the people of the three upazilas of Feni are still isolated

The gates are scheduled to be opened on Saturday night as the water in the Kaptai lake in Rangamati has increased to its maximum capacity due to the heavy rains of the last few days and the hill slopes coming down from the upstream. People in at least 11 districts of Bangladesh are still waterlogged due to heavy rains and landslides from Tripura, India upstream. According to the latest report of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, the death toll due to floods in these districts has increased to 18.
